Lovely atmosphere, goodsupport along route and from Marshalls Well done.
Loved the route, a really enjoyable run will recommend !!
I would not be bothered with a no medal option maybe next time ?
Great well organised run
Great Marshall’s especially the one on the corner where the path turns right to go along beach again
such an excellent event, so well organised and with the most helpful and attentive marshals .
Nice and flat .. mostly!
Well organised, fun event.
10k and the Half went off together on the same route, half went round twice. The route worked well, the 2 x loops wasn't an issue at all. Excellent marshals, road closed event, very nice and safe. Great support from spectators and public. Event village was very nice and good family atmosphere. Well run event.
Fantastic event
There was a Marshall at the arc part of the course past the skate park (where you turn off of the arc to head towards Hampton - Hampton side of the arc) who was brilliant with the best enthusiasm I have ever seen at an event.
A good event & would recommend to others!
Fantastic organised run in a wonderful location
Amazing event
Really good start area. Great course. Great marshalling. Only issue is the hill to start and hills in the last 1km
Volenteers were so lovely
Fast
The 2 laps is a lot faster than the old out and back well organised race with a nice race HQ at the castle
Well Organised
Really enjoyed the half marathon, definitely need more toilets though
First half marathon and I enjoyed it
It was a good venue I just held onto my water carton and popped in a bin as I ran by no problem
Great atmosphere, well organised event. Looking forward to doing it again.
Friendly enjoyable event.
My only negative this year would be about the waves, as you had a lot less waves there were a lot of people right at the front that really shouldn’t have been there, it takes a few minutes off your PB trying to get round them.
Beautiful scenery, well organised, friendly and supportive Marshalls
Good event despite the water supply problem
We really enjoyed the event, the water station running out wasn’t ideal but kudos to the team for getting more water out as soon as they could.
The event village was good with lots going on. T shirts are a little small this time, might be worth adding a bigger size as they are all about a size smaller than expected.
Overall a good event as expected from SEUK
Great day!
Overall it was well organised and a great race.
Compared to last year the additions of extra water stations were a great touch, more bins directly after would have been good to avoid piles of bottles. As well as this it would have been good to provide energy gels rather than haribo, perhaps getting a sponsor to promote their products to keep the cost down, as this is quite common at other races.
Offering better catering at the finish line would have been good (it was just frozen burgers)
Some more markers in public areas would have helped, I needed to shout quite a lot at confused members of the public who had no idea the race was happening.
More toilets at the start line, massive queues at 9:20am caused a bit of a panic!
Will be back for sure.
Done this event three or four times now and enjoyed it as always (despite my poor time lol). I would say I preferred Whitstable Castle as a base location to the Kings Hall where it has been in the past - better atmosphere, more scenic in my view, and a better place for any spectators too to hang out on Tankerton slopes etc.
If possible though I do think it would be better if the finish line could be out on the road given Tower Hill closed, would just need a slight tweak to the route somewhere to make the distance fit. It's always nice to have those final shouts of encouragement from the crowd, friends and family at the very end, but couldn't have that on the narrow path back in to the castle grounds.
Overall, thanks to all those involved in organising, running and marshalling the race.
Great run superb atmosphere
Well organised, fantastic marshalling. One gripe - a bin or marshal with rubbish bag after water station. Running is a eco friendly sport and yet the litter after each water station, cartons in peoples gardens, verges etc. was embarrassing. If it had been windy it would have all ended up in the sea. Organisers, and runners, please be better on this and will be 10/10
