Limited range of runner gifts at the end. Either socks or buff - maybe add wild deer hats either beanie or baseball? I now have 5 buffs in various colours!

This is the second half I’ve done - the summer one is a different route to the winter one but just as picturesque and scenic. Lovely grounds, all volunteers are welcoming and friendly.

Could do with a secure bag drop tent.
It was 13.6 miles, would advertise it as 0.5 mile over the standard half marathon distance of 13.1
miles. Just so people know in advance.
Other than that, really good.

The information from email to the race day is brilliant, there were plenty of loos and the staff super friendly… I ticked the NO box for beginners only because I think the hills are quite challenging however for the 5K and 10K I’d recommend to a beginner to get some good trail experience.

Great gift, treat and cola at the end was a nice touch!

I will definitely be recommending as I work close by to this course and often run sections of it on my lunch, my workmates would love it too.

I ran the half marathon and we set off last after all the other distances. I was worried about congestion at some points in the race but it never happened and the staggered starts worked very well. The scenic route was well marshalled and signposted, so no worries there. Lots of walkers, famillies and dogs to negotiate during the race but nothing anyone can do about that! Parking was stress free. All in all, a great event, good value and recommended. Thank you Wild Deer Events.
