Brilliant event

Great event, but do train as the hills in the second half are challenging.
The signage was great as were the Marshalls but could have been a bit clearer running past the English Heritage site before entering the road to Dover castle, I’m not good at thinking with only a mile to go !!!
Loved the event, will be back next year

Beautiful scenery and a great atmosphere made the brutal challenge the best experience

The new route taking in the path at the top of the cliffs was stunning beautiful. The added difficulty was well worth it! Loved every step of this race!

Fantastic scenic run

Really challenging in the strong winds but was an amazing course. The views are breathtaking. Everyone was super friendly, the marshalls were fantastic.
Loved it

Awesome for scenery

The gales were a struggle but otherwise the course was beautiful and the medal and T shirt fantastic.

Unique course

Unique course taking in the 4 castles. Marshall’s were all friendly. Great bling and t-shirt rewarded at the end. Tough course in the conditions but organisers can’t help with weather

Very challenging but very rewarding.

Really enjoyed this event. A proper tough challenge, especially given the gale force head wind for about 12 of the 13 miles, but a brilliant and beautiful route from start to finish. A real sense of pride and satisfaction in completing this one.

Lovely route. Windy!!! But coastal route so to be expected! Suspect doing it in reverse essier but not as spectacular a finish. Fantastic t shirt.

Only negative was a v long wait for the shuttle bus but only a minor gripe.
Will do again.

Hilly and windy but a wonderful challenge

This was my first half marathon and I can see this being a challenge for other beginners however I am local and have been able to train for the tough hills and in the whipping coastal winds! Not for the faint hearted but really fun!

A run of two halves, don’t let the first 1/2 give you a false sense of security!

It's called a challenge for a reason! Always a tough gig, but fantastic scenery.

Much prefered the old route, but there is no progress without friction I suppose!

Even more beautiful this year

Lovely route, really friendly. Right Guard Marshall’s were awful, but we managed just fine. Stunning run. A great next level half.

Excellent event, well organised.

Really enjoyed the event. Great course and fantastic views. Well sign-posted and marshalled, and with a great finish area in the grounds of Dover Castle.
