Welcome to the Cadair Idris Walking Marathon!
We are offering a very limited number the chance to take on this walking challenge event, under the stewardship of our guides.
The magical distance of 26.2 miles on Southern Snowdonia's most popular mountain - and we want to provide a marathon event that is achievable for all hill walkers. and explores every corner of this beautiful area. It also serves as a great opportunity to train and get some quality hill miles in your legs if you are preparing for your first Ultra distance event.
We also limit the numbers, and make it fully guided...so there are no worries about getting lost or going the wrong way - all you have to do is focus on putting one foot in front of the other, and enjoying those fabulous views!
The guide to participant ratio is restricted to maximum 1:10.
The route passes through several checkpoints where you can access toilet facilities, the event feed station, water top up and your spare provisions. The 42km route has nearly 2100m of ascent, so it is definitely hilly!
The day will have a proper 'event' feel with a start/finish line, you'll be set off in your chosen time group (you'll get to choose a target time when registering) and will be welcomed back to your medal, certificate and big congratulations after completing your very hilly Cadair Idris walking marathon!
So why not set a great goal for Autumn 2026, which will help keep you motivated throughout the year.

- Professional Mountain Leaders with all groups to guide, support and look after you throughout
