Excellent written route instructions. Very friendly. Well organised. Good route.
A challenging, enjoyable and rewarding marathon.
It’s important to support local events. This race was very reasonably priced. The medal was very good and the goody bag appreciated. The checkpoints were well spaced out and contained enough good quality nutrition. The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. This race will not disappoint and is totally worth doing, regardless of ability and experience.

Thank you for your lovely positive review - just to note (for anyone reading the reviews and thinking about entering), we ran round Colchester rather than Canterbury! We wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed or turn up at the wrong location!! :-)
Fantastic event
Hare & Tortoise events are always a joy, even though they can be physically tough! Lovely and clear instructions, well thought out check points. Always plenty of food and drink on offer. Most importantly, always without fail a beautiful medal!!
my now favourite H&T event. Who knew Colchester has such beauty. Great organisation, a real community that welcomes all runners. i would highly recommend all H&T events. The medal is a thing of beauty.
Volunteer photographer - it would be great to get someone to volunteer to take photos of runners, out on course or coming into the finish, its always great to get a photo to remember the event.

As usual the friendly H&T team did a great job - good organisation, well stocked check points, clear instructions and a lovely route. Don't be fooled though when it's described as a marathon.. it's 28.5 miles!
My first ultra marathon! Loved it!
Was recommended to do a Hare & Tortoise event and they didn’t disappoint. Very well run, friendly marshals at check points. Really great atmosphere. This won’t be my last!

Really well organised event, showing off the best of the surrounding countryside. Generous cut off times and friendly runners and event staff alike. Loved the camaraderie after showing up as a solo runner
Stunning way to see Colchester’s beauty
Self navigation was best with gps on watch if you’re not in a group. So well organised…AND the medal!

The Camuplodunum has beautiful trails and a fascinating route. It's an achievable challenge providing a sense of accomplishment, and, of course, a stunning medal.
