My 2nd Grim event this year. Only half hour drive from home which was a bonus. Fab set up, super friendly, tough route so got a great challenge over the 3 laps. Marshalls were super, friendly and encouraging. Loved that you had Canicross on too, great to see all the happy dogs. Lovely medal and goodies afterwards. Thank you all so much, your hard work is very much appreciated appreciated

The usual lovely, relaxed atmosphere that we have come to expect from the GRIM team. Just a small point for next year: even though the pre-race instructions were clear regarding the turn round point it would have been reassuring to have had a sign at the end of the path as well.

Absolutely brilliant organisation. Really enjoyed the setup. Attended this event for the first time not knowing what to expect and really enjoyed it. Plus added bonus of drinks and bbq burgers at the end. Well done to all who are involved in the organisation

Found organisation top notch , everyone friendly and a good mix of runners on a nice challenging course . Only slight criticism was medal was exactly the same as when i did event a few years ago , but saying that had a really good morning so no real complaints . Thank you

This is my favourite Grim run by far. A lovely 5 mile loop with multiple distances. Mostly trail with a bit of road. Loved it. Thank you team GRIM.

Absolutely amazing event. This was my first time and all the organisers Marshalls were great friendly and very helpful and the course was fantastic if you haven’t done this definitely give it again.

Supportive and friendly Marshalls and organisers - 10/10

This was my second Grim up North event, and what a fantastic, well run day it was. It was perfect timing for my 20 mile training run ahead of my three upcoming marathons.
Everything went so smoothly. We were kept well informed prior to the event, everybody was very organised on the day and they were all so welcoming.
I’d arrived just before 07:30 as I wasn’t sure what the parking was like, but there was plenty of space and I soon had my race number.
Also, what a wonderful group of people taking part. There was real team spirit all the way round. Although the events are smaller than others, it makes it much more personal and so many people would smile at you or give you praise and wish you well on passing you. It makes such a difference.
Each time I got to the aid stations, the volunteers there were so welcoming and would have a conversation, asking how you’re getting on and making sure you had everything you needed before you continued.
And that’s the first time I’ve been handed a burger at the end of an event!
I can’t stress enough what an incredible day I’ve had - you’ve all done so well organising it. Thank you so much.
I said “maybe” for beginners in relation to this particular route. They could select the single lap option, but be wary of “that” hill, however, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too bad just doing it once!
Again, thank you so much for the hard work you put into today. It really is appreciated.

First grim event. Will definitely do more.
Good organisation, fantastic scenery, and great selection of treats at the end with the bling and buff.
Marshalls were very encouraging which was great.
