Excellent Full Trail Run

Excellent trail run through stunning scenery. Well organised and a great, fun atmosphere. Great for individuals, groups and family.

You did not disappoint.

The event from start to finish was very well organised with great support from the marshals and locals.

I am a beginner to trail running and whilst some of the course was challenging, it was rewarding and great fun. All runners supporting each other.

The 12km turned into nearly 14km… not sure why as the course was clearly marked and marshalled… maybe a miss measure.. some free km ran on the day didn’t hurt.

Finally… the Ditch of Dooooom. Having never really ran a cross country trail run before I didn’t know what to expect. It was a shock to the system but fun at the same time… only problem was it felt like I was running with two sponges strapped to my feet for the last 2km (3 and a bit)

Overall.. fantastic day, great organisation and support and a nice medal at the end.

Thanks again and see you next year

Pleased you enjoyed the event Chris! Sorry about the distance. It's become a bit of a thing since we started... 12km but never 12km. We'll get closer next year :-)

Amazing 1st Trail Run

If you have never done a trail run like me, this is the race for you. The trail is fun and very enjoyable with many small and some larger hill but equally many many long and steeper downhills. The only criticism I would have is that the event is advertised as a 12k run but it was 14k and also that there is a water station every 3 miles. I thought I had ran past it. I am a slower tail end runner at the moment and still postpartum so I needed the water. I was fine but would have taken water with me had I known there wasn't going to be a water station.

Pleased you enjoyed the run. We'd agree, we should have moved the water to an earlier section. Next year

Best Trail Run so Far

I've found a few 10k trail runs skimp on the route, instead giving you two laps of a 5k route (not that there's anything wrong with that—they're usually well organised and fun), but the Dirty Dozen was a single lap along a really good mix of trails. Undulating flats, technical downhills, some short hard climbs and long slogs, and that's without mentioning the deep ditches, which were awesome fun. This was almost 14k in the end, and no one objected to the extra. Friendly competitors, well organised from start to finish. Can't wait for next year!

Awesome trail event through some of the best trails on The Chase

Longer start section before the single tracks worked well. Great tour of the best single track trails. Could have done with a water station at @4k point (start finish line). Lived up to its reputation for being 12k PLUS! (I clocked 13.75km

The Chase as it should be experienced

Would just add that I thought the water station was going to be earlier in the run and then running back passed the second station was then too close
