Fantastic
First time I'd done this (10k) and enjoyed it no end - Great little event - Thanks to all the organisers - Will deffo be back again
Great race as always beautiful scenery along the Leeds Liverpool canal including Bingley 5 rise locks.
Very well organised. Everyone was very friendly as usual.
Well organised and good fun
First timed event and will be back for more!
Great Race !!
The Kirkstall Canal race was my first ever Grim. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for the Titus March race the day after. Enjoyed that just as much or more. Thank you the Grim organisation worked well !!
Enjoyable run and good for getting Fast times in.
great race
loved this race today was on 7 min mile pace all the way from mile 2 to the finish Grim up North races are great ran into nearly all the 10k runners at Bingley loved the course and will defo do again hopefully the marathon next year
Fab time had by everyone
The organisation was right on track. We all new what we were doing and I enjoyed thd whole time I was there, even when the rain came down. Thank you so much x
IGUN Always have cracking events
Great route even with the weather. Bit of a shame to not get the medal that was advertised it would be nice if these could made available to purchase as the design was great. People received different medals depending on when they finished which meant Marathon and Ultra distances didn’t get them. Absolutely not a criticism just a bit jealous!
Lovely 10k route and run well organised and super medal
Maybe a bit congested at the finish,
Possibly encourage runners who have finished to move along away from timing mat more swiftly.
Usual friendly Grim run
Well organised, lovely selection of treats at the finish, usual good value for money
love theses races
Mostly flat out and back 10k
Event coordinators and volunteers very friendly and helpful. Great choice of snacks and drinks. Easy to use drop-bag van. Toilets at start/finish. Easy to follow route. Huge medals as per all Grim events ❤️
Very enjoyable despite the rain and wind in the latter stages.
All the marshals were helpful and friendly but I’d given special mention to the woman at 6/19 miles out who was especially welcoming and even did a dance as I went by!
Out and back marathon
Today's weather was very windy and wet but the marshalling was good despite the weather.
The water stations early on let the team down. Not manned when I arrived which meant I would have had to lift the whole water container by myself!!
No chance. Hopefully this will be sorted next time.
Really enjoyable event.
Friendly and well marshalled. Perhaps consider a more structured bag drop with tags.
Brilliant
To make this event perfect. Better water stations
I think I was unlucky as all the cake was gone when I finished
But my buddy had loads. Yes I would do it again brilliant. Oh ps maybe a loo along path bonus.
Fantastic course along the canal
Just a bit of feedback, I did 20m well actually 19.97, the Marshall at the turnaround was talking both times I looped so I nearly missed him first time and second time I asked if I could have some water and he said yes with his hands in his pockets, it’s a bit difficult to bend down to get a jug and cup at 15m with tight hamstrings (both we in the ground) and he had clearly moved as I didn’t do the distance. Small point as everyone was lovely, Marshalls and runners shouting well done, I just think he was distracted by someone he knew, first time for me I will defo come back, it’s awesome up north :-)
